Don’t call it a comeback! Well at least not for now anyway, it is being confirmed via The Hollywood Reporter that Russell Simmons recently signed a two year overall deal with major cable channel, HBO. Under the deal, Simmons will create and develop new shows for the network. Now that’s what I’m talking about, Hit the jump for more details…..
At this point, there’s been no word as to what shows Simmons will create for HBO but we know how creative he is so it’ll surely be something we’re all interested in. We know he always has his hands in the music industry and who doesn’t love a music based show? But he’s also a movie producer and HBO movies are always some of the best ever. Plus, he’s a spiritual guy and documentaries do well on their channel too.
