Mark O’Mara is the defense attorney who has had George Zimmerman’s back, and it looks like now, he may need someone to have his back. Last week, Zimmerman’s defense team claimed that they had obtained video footage of “two buddies of Trayvon Martin’s beating up a homeless guy.” This was so far from the truth! Once a jury hears something, it can’t be taken back no matter how many times the judge tells them that it can’t be used. Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara stated that he had footage of two of Trayvon’s friends beating up a homeless guy (WTF does that have to do with HIM?!), but in-fact it was a video of two homeless guys fighting over a BIKE! How the hell do you confuse this? O’Mara later apologized for ‘mischaracterizing evidence,’ and Shawn Vincent, a spokesperson for O’Mara’s law firm, told HuffPost that the defense apologized for spreading misinformation and addressed the mistake quickly to continue its commitment to sharing accurate information with the public.’ BULLSTUFF!
The law office that represents the Martin family said that this was more than just a mistake, and I totally agree. “The video, to me, is one of the clearest examples of a pure fabrication,” Jasmine Rand, managing attorney and head of the civil rights division of Parks and Crump’s South Florida office, told The Huffington Post. “I have no idea where that information came from. It’s inaccurate, and to spread that type of information on such an important case was a clear fabrication of the evidence.
