Well, this is definitely unconventional. Have you ever seen a dog in yearbook?? This year a golden retriever had his photo taken among other graduating seniors, but why??

It’s hard not to smile when you see a dog along with other high school photos. In 2013, Prince, the golden retriever, “graduated” from Portage High. This Illinois high school decided to part ways with the beloved dog, who retired this year, in a righteous fashion. Prince worked in the guidance office with Tim Kunstek, the school’s guidance counselor and Prince’s handler. Prince’s duties included counseling sessions with other students, protecting the school’s hallways, and he even visited Sandy Hook Elementary to comfort the students after the horrible tragedy.

Prince ended his four and half year stint at Portage High this year, and this Illinois school honored him with a photo amongst the other graduating seniors.
