Now this out to be interesting, a Columbia Pictures rep has confirmed that Cameron Diaz is going to lose the innocent act to play Miss Hannigan in Will Smith and Jay-Z’ Annie remake. If it’s been a minute since you’ve seen the play or the film adaptations, Miss Hannigan is the alcoholic orphanage matron who can’t stand children and consistently finds ways to make Annie’s life hell. Earlier reports claimed that Sandra Bullock was in talks to play Ms. Hannigan but apparently, she’s passed. Hmmmmm can’t really see her playing a meanie BUT on the other good news Diaz joins Jamie Foxx as Daddy Warbucks, the billionaire who eventually adopts Annie and Quevenzhané Wallis, the Oscar nominated actress who will play the title character.
