IFWT Trey Burke

The Utah Jazz moved up in the draft to get national player of the year, Trey Burke.  “My goal is to come in and start right away,” Burke told reporters. “I look forward to coming in and helping the team win.”  That however conflicts with the Jazz’s starting guard and soon to be free agent, Mo Williams.  Read more after the jump.

Mo Williams made it clear that he won’t re-sign with the team to be Burke’s backup at the point, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports.

“He’s not going to come back as a backup,” the source said of Williams.

The Jazz may well intend to go slowly with Burke, but if he lives up to the hype he generated in his final collegiate campaign, coach Tyron Corbin may have little reason to not start him sooner than later.
