It is a sad day in America after George Zimmerman has been found not guilty for the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Russell Simmons spoke out about the verdict, stating that Zimmerman will “ultimately be punished” for the slaying of the unarmed boy.
Russell Simmons adds his two cents in on the Trayvon Martin trial, saying “He will soon be judged by a jury of his peers, and that is the best we can do. Whatever decision they make, is a decision that we must live with, whether we like it or not. Whether George Zimmerman is found innocent or guilty by the jury, I am firm believer that all of us live by karmic law, and he will ultimately be punished for the death of Trayvon, no matter what.”
However, Simmons was not the only one who had a strong opinion on the outcome of this case.
Waiting To Exhale author Terry McMillin wrote via Twitter, “I am not violent but I sure would like to slap George into next week. Or, maybe 25 years.”
As the week goes on, I am sure more and more reactions will come to the light.

Hey Brenda, if he is latino or a latin man then he does come from white ancestry so same shit. How can you call Russell Simmons a fool? If you don’t know then you should there are only 3 races: Caucasoid, Mongoloid and Negroid. The first one is white people the second are Asians and the third, blacks. The rest are ethnicities So yeah George Zimmerman’s white ass got off but it doesn’t change the fact he killed an unarmed kid it only means the prosecution didn’t prove their case.
By Florida’s law, George Zimmerman could have “NEVER” went to jail for what he did, unless someone else witnessed him shooting Trayvon Martin when he did. Florida law allows you to use deadly force, even kill another person the moment you feel your life is threatened. The problem is the “LAW” down there in Florida and “NOBODY” down there is doing “ANYTHING” about it from what I see! Where is the “PETITION” for that?!! George Zimmerman with or without knowing it, as well as having a little bit of luck (No other witness around who saw him shoot Trayvon!) essentially committed the perfect crime! I think some people get confused when they see Zimmerman supporters say “Yes, George is innocent, not guilty and should be let go!” like he was, because they don’t understand that some of the same people who have been saying that all along are aware of FLORIDA’S law; which states you can do exactly what Zimmerman did, if you feel threatened! So, if not today, tomorrow he would have walked after an appeal. Florida’s “STAND YOUR GROUND” law needs to be changed. Point blank, period, end of story ’cause that’s the problem! PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT!!!
