17-year-old, Trayvon Martin was shot and killed February 2012, and his killer has since gotten off scot-free. It’s been almost a week since anyone has heard from Martin’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin. After making a few stops to, The Today Show and Good Morning America, they finally speak out. Hit the jump for the details.

Like many of us, Trayvon Martin’s parents were, “shocked” and “stunned.” Agreed! “As parents, the understanding how [the jury] reached the verdict — I’ll never grasp that concept. We didn’t think it was fair,” says Tracy Martin. “I thought surely that he would be found guilty of second-degree murder — manslaughter at the least,” since he was only, “a teenager just trying to get home,” says Trayvon’s mother, Sybrina Fulton. This will be talked about for years to come. Many, like myself are still in disbelief.
