Angela Corey, the prosecutor against George Zimmerman, recently took on Marissa Alexander, a Florida resident with an abusive husband. On a night where her husband was abusing her and would not stop, Alexander shot a warning gunshot for her husband to take a step back. The gunshot had not hit anything, but unfortunately Angela Corey came down on her and sentenced her to 20 years in prison. Alexander tried to use the ‘Stand Your Ground’ defense but Corey dismissed it. This crazy injustice is just another example of how the system needs to be changed. Listen to Marissa Alexander’s story after the jump.
Why hardly any of the people that supposed to report news never tell the whole story. They just add what they want to. What about her shooting close to the room and she cheated on her husband. And she went to the car to get the gun. So she had the opportunity to leave with her kids. Bullets do go a long ways. The difference is Zimmerman felt he was threatened and shot the boy (God bless him) But if you busting inside city limits them bullets travel. 20 years is just stupid time
