Legendary filmmaker, Spike Lee, has reached his hand out to the masses in hopes of funding his next project; a movie about the addiction of blood. Stating that this tough business’ “powers that be” are one-track minded, he looks for help from the public to help with his next indie project. Hit the jump for the full scoop.

With the current climate in The Hollywood Studio System, it’s not an encouraging look for Independent Filmmakers. I’m not hating, just stating the facts. Super Heroes, Comic Books, 3D Special EFX, Blowing up the Planet Nine Times and Fly through the Air while Transforming is not my Thang. To me it’s not just that these Films are being made but it seems like these are the only films getting made. To The Studios it seems like every Film must be a Home run on a Global scale, a Tent Pole Enterprise, able to spin off Sequel after Sequel after Sequel after Sequel after Sequel after Sequel…

As of day 1, or at least halfway through, his argument is felt, bringing in $14,468 among 272 people. He’s also offered some remarkable incentives. A $10,000 donation, for example, gets the donor a courtside seat with Lee — a well-known NBA fan — for a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. A $5,000 pledge gets the donor associate producer creds. $1,000 gets the donor a part in the film as an extra. And for $750, he or she receives a pair of shoes Lee has worn, according to Cnet.

I would love to help with this movie. I have strong feelings on human equality and human rights as well as stopping discrimination for any reason,race,age,religion,mentalillness,handi-capped,sex,sexual preference,pro choice, womens rights, native and African and Latino American rights. I have studied World religion as well as world history. I have taken modeling and acting classes, The one thing they wanted me to do is change my accent, but I wont, I love my accent. I’m from Rhode Island originally, so I have a mix of a New York and Boston accent, when I go down south people love it. Personally I think my accent could make me a lot of money, look at Seth McFalane for example. Anything I can do to help let me know I believe Not only the adults in America know the truth about things, but we ow2e it to our children to inform them of any dangers.
I would love to help support Spike Lee with this project…Its time for some reality movies instead of all this fictional crap
