Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on the cover of Rolling Stone

Rolling Stone magazine created a ton of controversy last week when they revealed the cover of their August issue, featuring Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev looking like a young rock star. Many felt in glorified the actions of the alleged terrorist, and have since sought out petitions (some successfully) to ban the magazine from various stores. Now it’s gone even further, and Jack Osbourne has created a petition on Change.org to urge the mag to donate all profits made from the current edition’s sale (retail and advertising revenue) to the victims, surviving family members and first responders adversely affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.

The petition has generated more than 25,000 signatures in quite a short period of time. Let’s see if Rolling Stone responds. Do you think this is a good idea?
