A very important emblem in our nations history has been the target of a crime. You would never guess that someone was trying to harm good ole Lincoln but I guess even statues have to have haters. The Lincoln Memorial was seen to have a new splash of color amongst its normal beige/grey/statue tint. Spots of green paint were found on the lap and around the base of the memorial, after security patrolled the area and saw the vandalism after 1 a.m. The damages made upon the memorial were not permanent, yet the memorial was shut down in order to clean up the mess that the wrong doers left behind. A visitor, whom had come all the way from Tennessee with her children, to see the Lincoln Memorial had been turned away after being shut down for the maintenance. This vandalizer is crushing dreams.
It wouldn’t be the first time Lincoln fell victim to hateration, lets just hope the memorial bounces back.
