This means that app developers may soon be mandated to inform us what data exactly they are collecting and how it is being used. Oh and just in case you were unclear as to what constitutes as data the government specifically says it includes, browse history, biometrics, contacts, financial info, text log, health/medical info, users files, and location. If this ends up becoming a law that means app developers will have no choice whether or not they want to comply it will be voluntary. Oh and if that wasn’t enough publishers would have to provide consumers with short forms in multiple languages informing how exactly their data is being used.
