Kidnapped woman stabbed to death in Boston

Amy Lord, 24, was kidnapped in Boston, and then she was forced to drive to five banks. Her kidnapper made her withdraw money from those banks and then later stabbed her to death after. Starting at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Amy Lord began withdrawing money and after visiting the fifth bank, she was killed. Her car was put to flames, and it was found burned in South Boston. Lord’s body was found by a cyclist at 4 p.m. on Tuesday in a wooded area at the Stony Brook Reservation in Hyde Park.

Within the same 24-hour window of Amy Lord’s death, two other women were brutally attacked in the same proximity. Police arrested Edwin Alemany, 28, who has been charged with punching a woman around 5 a.m. Tuesday, and stabbing a different woman Wednesday night in the area of South Boston.

Police are still investigation Amy Lord’s murder, and they have not named Alemany a suspect as of now. Police issued a warnings to the general public stating, “Don’t walk alone, be aware of your surroundings, have your cellphone ready. Don’t listen to your iPhone when you’re out walking by yourself. You should be aware of your surroundings and what’s going on.”

Amy Lord graduated from Bentley University in 2011, and she worked as a digital media analyst with Genuine Interactive.
