The egyptian government which is highly protected by military is placing blame on the increase of deaths during the rallies to the Morsi supporters. Militant officials blamed the escalation of the clashes late friday night into saturday morning amongst the supporters and those anti Morsi, on the Morsi supporters.

“Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim said security forces fired tear gas to stop Morsi’s Islamist supporters from blocking a key bridge in Cairo. The police responded, he said, after Morsi’s followers marched toward the bridge from the Rabaa al Adawiya mosque, where the former president’s Muslim Brotherhood movement has been camped for a month.”

Officials say that they refuse to bring forth any “firearm” against any protestor, yet the Brotherhood has a different view on how the deaths are occurring. The Brotherhood states that it was officials whom began shooting live ammunition, causing for the rapid amounts of deaths to escalate. Esam Arafa, a volunteer at one of the medical hospitals near by, explained how injuries amongst patients began due to tear gas yet expanded to ammunition wounds. The doctor says that he has seen over 1,000 injured and many were due to ammunition. The Dr, ended with this comment:

“We tried to vote for a democracy. We voted for a parliament and a president but our votes went down the tubes by the army’s bloody coup,” said Asraf Medhat, standing near the barricades protecting the road leading to Rabaa al Adawiya. “They say we’re terrorists. We’re not terrorists. How can we retaliate? We don’t have the weapons the army has.”
