Can some of your favorite restaurants be giving you more than a bang for your buck?? Read more after jump

We reported a couple of days ago of a Cyclospora outbreak hitting the states, but now it has made its way to some of your most favorite restaurants. Restaurants within two states, Iowa and Nebraska have been hit with the horrible outbreak. The source of the destruction? The salads that were being transported from the Taylor Farms de Mexico and sold within the U.S restaurants. Olive Garden and Red Lobster were hit with the outbreak within the states. I know, I know, why’d it have to be them?

“Nationwide, cyclospora infections have been reported in at least 16 states and have sickened at least 400 people as of August 1st.”

All though both parties, the Darden food Chain and Taylor Farms have made statements addressing the removal of the contaminated produce and assuring the safety of their customers, they are unsure how this could have happened in an environment that they consider to be “safe”.

My advise is to think twice before running to the unlimited salad bar, just to keep it safe.
