Well it looks like traditional nudist groups are looking to find new ways to stay hip, Hit the jump for details!

Traditional Nudists such as the American Association for Nudist Recreation (AANR), have embarked on their campaign of switching the faces of their advertising in hopes to gain support from newer generations. I guess they figured that they would gain more support if they swapped out the older bodies with newer ones instead?

The number of those devoted to the nudist life style has decreased from 50,000 to 35,000 states spokesman, Tom Mulhall. The decrease seems to be in result of a number of factors. One being the transition from “flower children” to senior citizens within the past couple of yours. Another being the gap amongst generations of nudists, causing for many of the younger generation to not be accepted by the nudist vets at social events, such as clubs. Not to mention the technology gap as well, younger nudists take to social networking to communicate, and gather while older nudists do not take part.

Young, Fresh groups have began forming such as the Young Naturists and Nudists America, which serve as a balance amongst the generational gap. Although on social networks, they do not spam you with news constantly and prefer to be more hands on says co founder Felicity Jones (who uses an alternate name through media in order to keep her job, as many other nudists do). A supporter of the movement states:

“I see us educating people, getting them into nudism sooner,” said Vickers (who uses his real name and lives in Kissimmee, Fla.) “Because a lot of times it happens at the Empty Nester age where they’re looking for something to do. Now it’s: Hey, we’re college students, we can go out to this private lake and sit by a bonfire.”

Moral of the story? I think I found a new movement to be apart of, #NudeGang
