Who doesn’t want to sign with the Miami Heat? A few players have acknowledged their desire to join the two-time champions but this request was odd. Read more after the jump.
The most recent signing for the Heat was center Greg Oden who returned to basketball after an injury induced hiatus. Looking to fill another roster spot DeShawn Stevenson took to his twitter account to express his request to join the super team after being cut from the Atlanta Hawks.

Now this is hilarious on many levels.
1. During his time with the Washington Wizards Stevenson was notorious for his feud with Lebron James whom he called out quite often. Now he’s practically begging Lebron to help him get a spot on his team so they can play together? Unlikely
2. Doing it over twitter wasn’t the way to go bro. Not sure if he was looking for attention or was just plain old desperate but either way he came off looking pretty bad.
3. The chances of the Heat adding Stevenson are slim to none. He was cut from the Hawks for a reason. At 32 years old and recovering from a knee injury, Stevenson logged just 5.1 PPG and 2.2 RPG in his last season with the Hawks.
