Plaxico Burress was hoping to have a resurgent season this year where his career started with the Pittsburgh Steelers. That may not happen at all now. He was injured in practice while trying to make a catch over a couple defenders and tore his rotator cuff. The injury might cost him the entire season. Hit the jump.

Burress, who last year in Pittsburgh only played in a few games and only had 3 catches the entire year, was really hoping for a big bounce back type of season. With this injury however, not only might his season be over, his career could be over. He turns 36 next week, which means before next season starts he would already be 37, and has not shown much the past 2 season, although he did have a few bright spots with the Jets in 2011.
