Kanye took to the VMA stage to perform a single off his new album, “Blood On The Leaves”, which turned out to be a performance in complete dark with a background photo of nature in the background. You know Kanye is anal about his details, so the picture had a purpose. Find out what it is after the jump.
The photo is called “The Lynching Tree” taken by Steve McQueen in New Orleans, and was a tree used for lynching, with the lynched being buried in the surrounding area. Very Kanye indeed.
