It has been a busy summer for Caron Butler. It was not that long ago when he was traded from the Clippers to the Phoenix Suns. Before ever playing a game for them, he was now traded to the Bucks late last night. Most NBA players would not be too happy to play for the Bucks, but Butler is excited and there is a good reason. Hit the jump.

Butler is actually from Racine, Wisconsin, not too far from Milwaukee. After the trade he said “I talked to coach Larry Drew and John Hammond Bucks general manager, and we talked about my role on and off the court. They will ask even more of me, and I embrace that challenge, being a leader and a mentor. And I’ll be in my own town doing it. I didn’t think it would ever happen, that this dream I had many years ago could become a reality. That’s funny.”

Playing in your hometown can sometimes be a bad thing, but Butler doesn’t seem like he will let an opportunity like this go to waste.
