LPD x COINYC

When Conflict of Interest and Le Plus Dorés collaborate, you get The Line Up– an insatiable mix of Hennessy, abstract fashion and downtown fashion kids. Hosted at the Light Box NYC, hit the jump to see what you missed!

Around 8:30PM, the presentation began in the warehouse-like space. The room was dimly lit with exploding projections on the walls, accompanied with blaring music that satisfied an audible palette that could only accompany a street-wear show of this stature. Playing R.Kelly, Crime Mob and Waka Flocka, the presentation was split between LPD and COI NYC, allowing us to fully examine the clothing up-close.

While each brand holds prominence in different realms of street-wear, they shared a commonality with their display of large logos– a trend that is seemingly cohesive with most SS14 high-end street-wear. They both also deviated from their “signature” pieces, introducing new material into their collections like leather, waxed washes and a variation of cotton blends. While COI NYC kept it clean and simple, LPD got more edgy, distressing their looks, further distinguishing the two street-wear brands and their collections.

Around 10:30PM, the presentation turned in to a celebration, bringing guests from the likes of 40 Oz Van, Jay West, Travi$ Scott, Daver Cambell, Ugo Mozie, ATL TwinsA$AP Illz, Nigel Sylvester, Mademoiselle Yulia, Natalia Kills, and even Spike Lee.
