“Lil Boosie, the Baton Rogue rapper who is currently incarcerated on drug charges, may be seeing the light of day soon. Journalist Jeff Weiss, who covered Boosie’s trial for Rolling Stone, spoke to the rapper’s attorneys who shared with him information regarding his release and new music. According to Weiss’s tweets, the judge agreed to return Boosie’s hard drive containing some unreleased tracks. He also says attorneys believe he could be released in the next few months. “Just got word that judges have agreed to give back Boosie’s hard drives and computers. It means a whole lot of new Boosie music coming soon.” “No official release date yet for Boosie’s return. But his attorneys say no more than four to five months from today.”
Boosie was incarcerated on November 29th 2011 and has kept busy by completing a GED program during his jail sentence.
