Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams suffered a sprained right ankle during offseason workouts, but it is not expected to impact his preparation for the upcoming season. While Williams is preparing to get out of his walking boot, he will undergo an MRI to make sure everything is good to go. Once the walking boot is removed and he is medically cleared, Williams expects to be ready for the start of the team’s training camp. The Nets open up training camp on Oct. 1 at Duke and Williams should be present if everything goes according to plan.
