And In light of the fallen the 65th Emmy Awards, show their respect and continue’s with another honorary moment! The Glee star gave a remarkable tribute to her fellow co star, actor Cory Monteith, who passed earlier this year. Lynch voiced exactly how she felt about him, his tragic death and addiction, Hit the jump to see the tribute!
Although there was controversy whether the young star had enough credibility to be honored on the Emmy’s show, producers fought to let critics know that he was definitely loved by the younger generation!
Jane lynch began her tribute to the fallen actor by acknowledging his flaws and the great person that he was:
“Cory was a beautiful soul. He was not perfect, which many of us here tonight can relate to. His death is a tragic reminder of the rapacious, senseless destruction that is brought on by addiction,” Lynch said. “Tonight we remember Cory for all he was and mourn the loss of all he could have been. To a generation that loved Cory so, please know, this gifted and wonderful young man was worthy of your love.”
Monteith died in July in Vancouver, Canada of a toxic mix of heroin and alcohol.
