The Zen Master is at it again! When he tweets, fans pay attention — it’s usually something very interesting.
It was announced on Monday that Shaq is now a minority owner of the Sacramento Kings.  Of course it surprised a lot of people because of the comments he’s made about the team in the past.  So what does Phil Jackson have to say about it?!  Check it out…

Shaquille O’Neal is now a minority owner of the Sacramento Kings, the team he once called the Sacramento Queens.

However, Shaq isn’t alone in having once insulted that team. His former coach, Hall of Famer Phil Jackson, once referred to Sacramento as a “cow town.” He weighed in on Shaq’s purchase on Twitter.

In announcing his joining the Kings’ ownership group, Shaq told USA TODAY Sports’ Sam Amick that the “Queens” comment was intended as marketing for the rivalry between the Kings and Los Angeles Lakers. Kings fans seem to have forgiven him and by and large are excited about the new face.

Phil’s tweets seem to be co-opting some of that goodwill to attempt to get on Sacramento’s good side as well, asking Shaq to give his new ownership partners context.
