This is some disturbing news we are learning this morning. The 2 year old son of Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, was attacked and found unresponsive by police. The boy was allegedly beaten by the man his mother is currently dating. Peterson and his baby mother are not together. This story is just disgusting to even hear about. Hit the jump for more details.

27 year old Joseph Patterson has been arrested and charged with felony assault and battery of an infant. He was charged after authorities were called to the apartment where Adrian Peterson Jr lives and found the child unresponsive. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and medical experts determined the injuries were consistent with abuse. Peterson’s son is currently in critical condition at a hospital in South Dakota and Adrian has left the Vikings to deal with the issue. No word on where the mother of the child was when this happened. Let’s all pray for little Adrian Jr. More details to follow when they become available.
