Gunfire erupted early Saturday morning in a New Haven strip club. More than 100 people rushed onto St. John’s, while gun fire blazed through The Key Club. One officer rushed to the scene, after hearing the gun shots, which smelled of marijuana and was littered with drug paraphernalia. To read more, click below.

As paramedics arrived, one woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Three men and two woman were in critical condition from gun wounds. Police are still trying to find out what sparked the shooting and do not have any suspects. Governor Dannell Molloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman released this statement:

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the woman who died as a result of her injuries, the victims who are fighting for their lives and all who are impacted by this senseless violence,” the statement read. “This is a tragic reminder that despite progress in recent years, Connecticut cities still suffer too often from the plague of gun violence. On the state, municipal and community levels, Connecticut must continue to work together to make all our communities safer.”
