IFWT Evan turner

Evan Turner, has not been able to find his niche in the NBA during his first three years in the NBA and to no surprise new general manager Sam Hinkie did not offer him an extension. Turner realizes 2013-14 could be his last season with the Philadelphia 76ers.

“I didn’t expect anything, because Hinkie is not my GM,” Turner told The Philadelphia Inquirer. “I didn’t come up with Hinkie or anything. He has his own plan for stuff, and that’s pretty much it. … I really don’t know, to tell you the truth. Like I mean, you just traded Jrue Holiday. Jrue is like a walking legend. You know what I’m saying? Even Wilt Chamberlain got traded, right?”

With Turner’s contract set to expire in June there has been plenty of rumors that Hinkie has him on the trade block, but so far no team is willing to do a deal. Depending on the Sixers’ 2014 lottery positions, there is a good chance Hinkie will allow Turner to walk without seeking any compensation in free agency.

After two regular season games Turner is averaging 24.5 points 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists.
