Some of the founding fathers of Hip Hop’s culture have banned together in efforts to build an official homage to Hip Hop, and they are trying to bring it back to its original borough, The Bronx!

“Any institution dedicated to Hip Hop has to be in the Bronx. We’re trying to make that a reality,” Grandmaster Caz stated. “We’re going to see this become a reality. It’s a celebration of what we did in the past, as well as the present and what we can do in the future,” added Mel.

The Window of Hip Hop organization has made their statement on the museums’ role and the overall learning experience it will provide: which will be to “explore Hip Hop’s origins and celebrate it’s cultural & historical significance in the world through exhibits, presentations, performances and educational programs.”

Although it has been a long time coming, it seems like the plans for the Hip Hop museum are finally in fruition!
