A big part of College Gameday is all the creative signs the football fans come up with. They’re of course screened by ESPN before being allowed into the camera area but somehow this crazy sign made it through.
The crew was at USC as they hosted a game against Stanford. Jonathan Martin is all over the news due to his bullying scandal with former teammate Richie Incognito. Martin is a former Stanford player so the USC fans took the opportunity to have an abundance of signs poking fun at him. One of the signs said “PUSSY” on it using the Stanford “S” and included a picture of Martin. So how did this sign make it through?

According to Deadspin,
They apparently affixed a dummy sign—”Hi Lane”—to the real sign and when security saw yet another Lane Kiffin sign at USC, they likely just waved them right through. Then when they got near the set, they (eventually) Scooby-Doo‘d the top sign, revealing the pussy sign.
