Press Release:

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 18, 2013 — /PRNewswire/ — McDonald’s Flavor Battle, the nation’s premier DJ competition hosted by famed DJ, Funkmaster Flex, launched online today and includes DJ R-Tistic of Los Angeles. The 13-week, national battle aims to crown America’s hottest emerging mix-master. The competition begins with 12 DJs each representing a region of the U.S. and McDonald’s newest Quarter Pounder* burgers — the Bacon and Cheese Quarter Pounder (East Coast), Deluxe Quarter Pounder (Central) and Bacon Habanero Ranch Quarter Pounder (West Coast).

Hip-hop loving, burger-indulging fans can visit www.FlavorBattle.com to listen to a custom mix from each DJ and vote for their favorite beatsmith from each region. The three DJs with the most votes, one from each region, will have a chance to battle it out on the “1s and 2s” in front of DJ legends, Spinderella, DJ Clue and Just Blaze in NYC for the chance to be crowned the 2013-2014 Flavor Battle champion and win a $10,000 cash prize.

“We are proud to have one of LA’s own participating in this competition that celebrates creativity, art, and culture,” says Clay Paschen, III, owner/operator and president of the McDonald’s Operators’ Association of Southern California (MOASC.). “We are confident that with Southern California’s help, we can vote DJ R-Tistic into the final round.”

Fans are encouraged to visit www.FlavorBattle.com daily to vote for their favorite DJ. Everyone who votes will qualify for a chance to win Flavor Battle DJ equipment and a cash prize to help them start their hot mix-master career. Fans who want to show love to their favorite DJs can tweet, post, upload video via various social media channels, using the #FlavorBattle to help spread the word.
