A 5 year old boy died, after his mother failed to seek medical treatment for a blistering fever. Sebastian Guzman fell unconscious 11 a.m. this morning in his home on Popham Avenue near West 174th Street in the Bronx. He was taken to Bronx Lebanon, where he was pronounced dead. The mother claims that she did not take her son to the hospital because he had experienced a similar fever in the past and recovered on his own. She may now face negligence charges pending an autopsy from the medical examiner. SMH.
