The release of Beyonce’s self titled album was definitely a surprise, but her increasing album sales are no surprise hit the jump for more!
Queen Bey, Beyonce, Goddess, all of the above has made her return and has shown us all that she could make the world stop at the spontaneous drop of an album! Beyonce’s self titled, 5th studio album was thought to have sold 80,000 copies in 3 hours, but actually sold 135,000 and 430,000 in a 24 hour period!
And the week is not even up, Beyonce is predicted to reach over 600,000 units sold, by Wednesday! Beyonce has pretty much secured her spot in not only 1 country, or 10, or even 50, the Queen Bey has reclaimed her crown and:
“At the moment, Beyonce’s new album is #1 on iTunes in 100 countries. Yes, one hundred. That triple-digit number breaks the record One Direction held when their album Midnight Memories hit #1 in 97 countries. Sorry boys, but Queen Bey has spoken. Beyonce also sold 135k copies in its first three hours, according to Billboard, and the album is projected to be at #1 on the Billboard 200 when the chart’s top 10 is revealed on Dec. 18.” CNN
