French Montana’s Mac & Cheese mixtape series is quite popular amongst his hardcore fan base, and some time ago, the Bronx rapper announced the fourth installment was in the works. In a new interview with Sowmya Krishnamurthy for Rolling Stone, he revealed that instead of another free mixtape, MC4 is actually going to serve as his sophomore album!

“I’m going back to the essence on this album,” French said of the follow up to his 2013 debut via Bad Boy/Interscope, Excuse My French. “We’re giving the fans that grew up on me what they want. When we made the other music, it was just to be a little different and not do the same thing over.”

He hopes to have the first single out in the next two months. Haaan!
