Pakistani officials arrested a lawmaker; after a house raid exposed his home dungeon, filled with people. Hit the jump for more.

A legislator for the conservative religious party Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and former provincial minister, Abdul Rehman Khetran, has been charged with the entrapment of a mother, her two children and several others, in his own, home dungeon.

“Authorities freed the prisoners and also arrested Khetran’s son and six private guards, Barkhan district police chief Abdul Ghafoor Marri said, per Reuters. The region’s Anti Terrorist Force was also involved in the raid and seized weapons from the premises, Pakistani news outlet Dawn.com reports.” HP

The raid and arrest took place in Khetran’s home in the southwestern Pakistani province of Baluchistan.

Officials first became aware of the prisoners, after conducting the raid caused when “Khetran’s private guards attacked police and stole their weapons at a checkpoint earlier on Sunday.”
