IFWT_Robin_Marvin

Anyone can listen to the first 5sec. of Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and tell that sounds are TOO similar to Marvin Gaye’s “Got to Give It Up.” The children, Nona and Frankie Gaye, of the late and great Marvin Gaye has won the copyright infringement case against, Thicke and Sony/ATV Music Publishing. After the children accused EMI (now Sony) of refusing to file an infringement case against Thicke on behalf of the song, both parties have come to an undisclosed settlement, which means that this issue can never be brought up again.
Welp, looks as if Robin will not be able to use samples from Marvin’s music any more. TSK TSK!
