Rajon Rondo returned from his torn ACL but came back to a team in rebuilding mode. With the Boston Celtics making major changes and looking for a fresh start, trade rumors surrounding Rondo have started up once again.
via NY Daily News:
Rajon Rondo is finally back for the Celtics, and now the question becomes how long will he stay in Boston.
Rondo is the last blue chip from the 2008 championship team and 2010 Finals team that Celtics president Danny Ainge can convert into assets as he rebuilds the franchise. More than a few GMs around the league expect Rondo to be on the move, if not at the trading deadline next month, then maybe in June at draft time.
Next year is a contract year for Rondo and he’ll be looking for a big deal. The Celtics are likely to trade him if they get a first round pick as they look towards the lottery of a loaded 2014 draft.
They just made him the Caption on the team and only 18 other former celtic players can say that and if they do trade him you think they JUST want a first round pick? This just must be some delusional Lakers fan hoping they can trade Pau Gasol for him just stop.
