The West Coast veteran Ice Cube, has been honored by Goodyear for not only his charitable ways but also to pay homage to his classic ‘It Was A Good Day’; hit the jump for more!

A Goodyear blimp, flew across the skies of South Central Los Angeles today (Jan.20th), reading : “Goodyear: CUBE!,” yet the task was not an easy one! Although Cube mentions that his name read across the Goodyear Blimp in his track ‘It Was A Good Day,’ it took more to make the event actually happen. The task was sparked after a trio of friends created a charitable, crowd funding event called, “Team Good Blimp” pledging to raise 25,000, “for A Place Called Hope if Goodyear would participate”.

The team was able to raise the money with supporters, including none other than Ice Cube and also Jimmy Fallon.

‘A Place Called Hope’, is a program open to South central youth ages 8-21, and was established in 1993. The establishment strives to provide:

a safe haven in South Central Los Angeles where underserved youth are empowered to take ownership of the quality and direction of their lives through programs in education, arts, and well-being and are inspired to make a meaningful difference in their community and the world.

This is yet another good look for Ice Cube and the entire South Central community!
