Actress Julia Roberts’ younger half-sister Nancy Motes has been found dead on Sunday night in Los Angeles. Her fiancé John Dilbeck discovered the 37-year-old in the bathroom of their home. According to reports, her family issued a statement to People saying the official cause of death was from a drug overdose. Click below for more info.
“It is with deep sadness that the family of Nancy Motes … confirms that she was found dead in Los Angeles yesterday of an apparent drug overdose. There is no official report from the Coroner’s office yet. The family is both shocked and devastated,” the statement read.
Motes worked as an aspiring actress who had also worked as a production assistant for the popular TV show Glee. She had been tormented throughout the years and referred to as Julia Roberts’ “fat little sister,” which lead her to under-go a gastric bypass surgery.
The toxicology reports should take about 6-8 weeks for the official cause of death to be determined. We’re keeping her family in our prayers during this difficult time.
