28 people have died and 118 have been injured in what Chinese officials are calling an alleged terrorist attack, where 10 men, ran through a train station in the Yunan Province, slashing those in their view. The Kunmig Train Station had been bombarded by an unknown group, that officials labeled as “terrorists”, a term they use to place on those who “separate from the far western region of Xinjiang, home to a simmering rebellion against Chinese rule among parts of the Muslim Uighur population”. Some of the suspects were allegedly dressed in all black.

Officials shot 5 of the culprits dead, yet they are still investigating more on the incident and are asking witnesses to cooperate. The motive for the attack is still unknown, 60 of the injured were reportedly sent to Kunming No. 1 People’s Hospital.
