Dobri Dobrev, a 99 year old, man, spends his days begging on the streets but not for his own welfare but for the welfare of others!
Dobrev is known in his area as a “saint” and a “divine stranger”, as he heads to the street day in and day out in hopes to raise as much as he can. Although the old man, appears to be a beggar in the Bulgarian streets of Sofia, he is in a actuality a man with shelter, who lives on a fixed income of 80 Euros ($100) and donates any extra money he makes or comes upon to the orphanages and churches of the neighborhood.
You may be asking why the older man is spending his days raising money for the institutions? Well, he has allegedly stated, that he evoked his life to giving back after he once “did a bad thing” and is now trying to compensate for it.
Dobri Dobrev has given the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral up to 35,700 euros( more than 24,000) and is also known to pay the utility bills of orphanages in need.
