Being the child of Angelina Jolie certainly does have its perks. Angelina intentionally casted her daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, in her upcoming movie, ‘Maleficent’, because she simply had something all the other child actors lacked.

Angelina tells the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, that her daughter didn’t just get casted because she was her daughter. “The other 3- and 4-year-old performers wouldn’t come near me.” She says, it has to be one “that liked me and wasn’t afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws.”

Angelina plays the role of Maleficent, the evil sorceress from “Sleeping Beauty” who curses Princess Aurora.

Her costume was so elaborately scary that it terrified all the kids on set. The only one not afraid of her costume, was her daughter. Jolie says.. “So it had to be Viv.”

In the issue, she also explains that she and her husband, Brad Pitt, aren’t putting any pressure on their children to join the acting world.

“We think it’s fun for our kids to have cameos and join us on set, but not to be actors,” she says. “That’s not our goal for Brad and I at all.”

“Maleficent” hits theaters May 30, 2014.
