Oprah continues to turn down new avenues each and every day! Today it was announced by Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, that Oprah teamed up with Starbucks and created her own line of tea called “Oprah Chai Tea”! How exciting! Check out the tasty details!
“Oprah Chai Tea” will officially be on sale on April 29th and all proceeds from the tea sales will be going to the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls — the South African boarding school that she owns.
Winfrey went to Seattle to create with teaologist Naoko Tsunoda) features notes of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and cloves, blended with loose-leaf black tea and rooibos (a legume whose leaves are used to make herbal tea).
“I looove tea,” Winfrey said in a release. “My daily tea ritual is a vital part of my morning. Savory and spicy chai, with its deep flavor, has long been a favorite of mine.” In fact, Teavana’s tinned Maharaja Chai Oolong tea was picked as one of Winfrey’s trademark “Favorite Things” in 2013.
