ESPN reporter and dog lover Michelle Beadle was not happy about the New York Jets signing of quarterback Michael Vick. Beadle took to her Twitter account announcing that she would have to find a new football team.
Vick was sentenced to serve 23 months in federal prison in 2007 for funding an interstate dog fighting operation. Vick has issued numerous apologies and worked with various animal organizations. While many people have forgiven him and moved on, others are still very much against the quarterback.
The New York Jets signed Vick to a one-year, $5 million contract and while it delighted many Jets fans’, SportsNation host Michelle Beadle was very upset about the acquisition. Her berating of Vick of course caused some backlash on Twitter as she was attacked by Vick’s fans.
