It it is being reported that Love & Hip-Hop’s Benzino was shot this morning during his mother’s funeral procession. The shooter has been arrested but authorities have not yet revealed his identity at this time, but the have confirmed that the victim is 48 year-old Benzino. Check below the jump for more details.
It has been confirmed that Benzino was the victim of a shooting which took place at 11:55am this morning during his mother’s funeral in Duxbury, Massachusetts.
State Police Spokesman David Procopio said an argument between family members sparked the shooting. A person driving a Bentley shot the driver of red Dodge SUV. The shooting victim exited his car. A passerby took him to Duxbury Police Department. He was later transported to the hospital.

UPDATE:
It is now being confirmed that the shooter was Bezino’s own 36 year old nephew Gai Scott. No word on what sparked the incident but it is believed that the two men have had a longstanding beef with one another. Gai Scott is now in police custody while Benzino, real name Raymond Scott, is expected to make a full recovery. You can see in the gallery above that, He has been visited in the hospital by friend and co-founder of the Source magazine, Dave Mays, as well as Love & Hip-Hop co-star Stevie J.
It’s really unfortunate that a man can go to the funeral of his mother. Then leave and become the victim of a shooting himself. I would really like to know what made Benzino’s cousin do this to him at his late mother’s funeral?
