There’s been talks about the Lakers trading Pau Gasol for a couple years now and it looks like it’ll finally happen.  Though Gasol has been limited due to injuries there’s still several teams on the market interested in the veteran.

Pau Gasol will be a free agent come July and the majority of front office executives believe the forward’s days with the Los Angeles Lakers will come to an end, especially if Mike D’Antoni is retained as the head coach. With that in mind, several teams could be in play for Gasol once we get to July, especially via a sign-and-trade.

According to Chris Mannix of SI.com, Chicago. Cleveland. Charlotte and Memphis could be on the possible list of destinations for Gasol. Memphis would surely swap Gasol for Zach Randolph so he could play with his brother, Marc Gasol.

The Lakers are focused on 2015, so any any player they might acquire via a Gasol trade must have a contract that has just one more season left on the deal.
