Williams performed his Oscar-nominated hit “Happy” and later got an assist from hit-composer Hans Zimmer on “Marilyn Monroe.”

In a late sketch, SNL guest host Anna Kendrick auditioned to be a backup singer for Williams, who was situated between two “colleagues,” played by Kenan Thompson and Taran Killam, also sporting versions of his now-famous Grammy mountain hat.

Later this month, Pharrell will hit the road opening for Bruno Mars in addition to an appearance at Coachella. He’s also working with Zimmer on the score for the new Spider-Man movie.
