About a year ago, Lil Wayne hinted that there could possibly be a Big Tymers reunion album. Back in their heyday, the “Still Fly” crew consisted of Birdman and Mannie Fresh. The similarities between the rumored reunion and the original group would only be between the “Big Tymers” name and Birdman — Mannie Fresh wasn’t mentioned. Wayne was quoted saying that they’d be “adding Drake.” Day 1 Hot Boy, Turk, made it clear that he wasn’t feeling it. Hit the jump to see his opinion.

The thought came up during an interview with VLadTV. When asked if he had heard about Drake’s plans to recreate the Big Tymers, Turk responded with:

“To answer that question, man. Big Tymers can’t be duplicated. And Drake knew that. You know what I’m saying? Salute to Drake. Shout out to Drake. But you can’t never make another Hot Boys. You can’t never make another Big Tymers. You can’t never make a Cash Money Millionaires, which is all six of us. They can’t be duplicated. Just like you can’t make another Drake. You can’t make another Nicki Minaj. You can’t make another Wayne. You can’t make another one of those. We all had our own identity. We brought different chemistry to that time when we was together. He’ll probably call it the new Big Tymers, but it wouldn’t be the same. It just would be another group.”

Despite this, the respect is still there for Drizzy. Turk later praised Gucci Mane, Migos, Young Thug and Drizzy for constantly paying homage to what the Hot Boys stood for.
