Michael Vick signed a contract with the New York Jets but since their quarterback Geno Smith already has the No. 7, Vick had to pick a new number. He initially decided to go with the No. 8 and had a really good reason why, in dedication to Steve Young. He then changed his mind and picked a new number.

It’s unclear how he persuaded punter Ryan Quigley to give up No. 1. The more important question is whether Vick can wrest No. 1 on the depth chart from Geno Smith.

He should get the #7 because he’s Mike Vick!! Geno Smith aint doin nothing with it anyway so he should give it up outta respect!!!
