The sequel starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum took an early lead with $25 million on the Friday night premiere day. Sony Pictures, who co-financed the film, is now predicting 22 Jump Street will gross $60 million for the weekend, which will make it the second best showing of an R-rated comedy after ‘The Hangover: Part II’.
